Steam Oil 1Ltr, We stock two grades of oil, 460 & 680, 

460 is a lighter grade, compounded oil formulated with a unique additive technology to offer improved corrosion resistance and lubricity to protect components and reduce wear. Designed for lower steam pressures and saturated steam conditions. Most suited to smaller steam engines, Maxitrak, Markie, Mamod, Accucraft 16mm, Gauge one, Wilesco engines.

680 is a medium grade, compounded oil suitable for use with saturated & light superheated steam. Designed for Steam Locomotives mainly on preserved lines, Traction Engines, Steam Rollers and Stationary Engines. Most suited for larger steam models, 3.5", 5", 7 1/4" gauge, 1", 2", 3" & 4" road models,

Attributes: Does not damage paintwork or cause staining on phosphor bronze, brass or copper fittings. Promotes low carbonisation of cylinders and pistons. Provides a robust lubricating film to protect valves and cylinders. Offers excellent corrosion resistance on cast iron and steel parts. Exceptional lubrication on all moving parts, even at elevated temperatures up to 150 degrees centigrade and boiler pressures of up to 125PSI.
