The GP40 is an American outline diesel locomotive from Accucraft Trains.
It is a 4-axle diesel-electric road switcher locomotive built by General Motors' Electromotive Division as part of its Dash 2 line between April 1972 and December 1986.
The model has a wealth of detail, fitted with spring suspension, full electronic control and optional sound system and/or radio control. The model features an all steel body, ball bearing axles, direct chain drive and working headlights and marker lights. Power is provided by 1400W electric motors making it a very powerful model.
Base model includes two power bogies with 2 DC 24V 350W motors per bogie, 1.5" scale working couplers, and electronic handheld control.
